Job summary

Mactac's Spartanburg, SC facility is hiring a Supervisor for the second shift to oversee coating and finishing operations and support departments. The role emphasizes safe work practices, integrity, and ethical conduct while driving productivity and quality in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include leading operators and teams, managing staffing, training, and scheduling, and ensuring timely, accurate payroll inputs. 5% travel and reporting to Plant Manager are noted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred in Engineering, Chemical, Biology, Business related field or 10+ years of manufacturing supervision experience.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of professional supervisory experience.
• Experience with web handling and coating equipment,PSA labeling or paper industries preferred.
• ERP experience required and advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow safety rules and OSHA guidelines; conduct incident investigations and maintain housekeeping.
• Establish floor leadership; communicate expectations and evaluate results.
• Oversee training, assign work, appraise performance, and manage timecards.
• Lead Operators, Teams and Support functions to safely produce quality products efficiently.
• Ensure staffing across departments and manage vacation/personal time.
• Review production schedules to maximize production effectiveness and customer service.
• Provide coaching on problem solving and SOP implementation; drive continuous improvement.
• Report daily shift performance against KPI targets for safety, quality, productivity, and service.
