Blodgett Oven Company is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to manufacture complex 3D sheet metal parts for commercial ovens. You will set up and run CNC press brakes, form parts from detailed drawings, and ensure dimensions and angles meet blueprints.

The role emphasizes precision, quality checks with calipers and micrometers, adherence to safety, and teamwork across departments. This full-time on-site position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Adept at using small hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, including GD&T.
• Strong knowledge of shop measurement techniques and precision measuring tools.
• Excellent paperwork, counting, and quality control skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks such as bending, sitting, and standing repeatedly.
• Ability to work effectively and communicate in a fast-paced, team-oriented department.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsabilidades

• Operate CNC press brakes following established procedures.
• Set up and tool the machine by installing, aligning, and locking punches and dies using precision gauges and hand tools.
• Load and verify programs and adjust to achieve correct dimensions and angles.
• Form parts accurately according to blueprint specifications.
• Perform quality checks on first, middle, and last parts using calipers, protractors, and micrometers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor tooling or material issues for efficient production.
• Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE as required.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on the machine.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and machine.
• Willing to assist other departments as directed.
