Job summary

Wieland Small Tube Products is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Operator in Lake Zurich, IL. Responsibilities include operating CNC machines, handling materials, and ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate should have 1-4 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and strong mechanical aptitude. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Basic operation of CNC equipment (load material, start cycles, unload material).
• Change inserts within 6 months as needed.
• Measure parts according to inspection requirements.
• Act as a reliable “go‑to” person for work completion.

Job description

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. The company serves various industries including power, automotive, ammunition, coinage, construction, refrigeration, and electronics. The 2nd Shift CNC Operator position will involve operating CNC machines, following standards, and working fully on site in Lake Zurich, IL.

Hourly Pay Range

$20 – $30 per hour

Work Schedule

2nd Shift: 4:00 pm – 2:30 am, Monday–Thursday

Responsibilities

• Basic operation of CNC equipment (load material, start cycles, unload material).
• Stack/unload product per instructions and other material handling as required.
• Change inserts within 6 months as needed.
• Make offsets within 3 months as required.
• Communicate effectively with co‑workers and management.
• Enter production quantities accurately in the ERP system.
• Input job data per MBP MMS requirements accurately.
• Measure parts according to inspection requirements using various gaging and metrology equipment.
• Participate in any team activity as needed.
• Act as a reliable “go‑to” person for work completion.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience required.
• Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Knowledge of ferrous and/or non‑ferrous materials.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Proper measuring techniques with a variety of gauges.
