Job summary

SMS group USA is seeking a skilled CNC/Manual Machinist to join our shop and support a busy production floor. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of machining experience across CNC and manual equipment, including vertical and horizontal lathes and mills.

You will read blueprints, measure parts, and maintain strict safety practices while collaborating with a team. Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens controls is preferred; forklift and crane training will be provided on site.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years of machining experience, manual and CNC.
• Vertical and Horizontal Lathe experience required.
• Ability to set up and operate a range of CNC and manual machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Horizontal Mills, CNC Vertical Mills, CNC Vertical Lathe, CNC Horizontal Lathe, plus manual mills and lathes.
• Read blueprints and measure parts with tape, micrometers, calipers, and depth mics.
• Maintain safety and report hazards; follow all safety policies.
• Operate forklift and crane safely (training provided on site); perform rigging inspections.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain a clean work area.
