Job summary

SEPCO, Inc. in Alabaster, Alabama is seeking an experienced 2nd shift CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate precision CNC equipment in a climate-controlled, quality-driven shop.

This role requires reading blueprints and engineering drawings, selecting tooling, and monitoring feeds, speeds, and measurements. Candidates with 2+ years of CNC experience, programming ability, and technical schooling are preferred. Strong teamwork and safety mindset are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience with CNC setup and programming.
• Ability to read fractional and decimal dimensions.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with manual machining equipment.
• Technical school or apprenticeship experience.
• CNC Machinist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• CNC machine setup and operation.
• Programming at the machine controls.
• Reading blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Precision measuring using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Adjusting tooling, feeds, and speeds.
• Monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting issues.
• Maintaining coolant systems and machining equipment.
• Performing some manual machining operations when required.
