Job summary

Allegion is seeking a CNC Machinist in Illinois to set up, program, and operate CNC equipment for producing metal parts per drawings. You will perform quality checks, maintain records, and follow safety protocols while collaborating with engineers and production staff.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic computing skills, and strong attention to detail. Overtime may be required; pay is hourly with bonus eligibility and advancement opportunities within a global safety-focused

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Entry-level role: no experience required.
Familiarity with machining techniques, tools, and equipment.
Basic computer literacy.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC functions following instructions to cut, punch, form, drill, and mill metal parts.
Perform loading/unloading of parts, attach components, and use hand tools.
Conduct basic equipment checks and follow written procedures.
Maintain quality records and identify defective parts.
Adhere to safety protocols and use PPE.
Collaborate with team and report issues clearly; keep workspace organized.
Crosstrain in other areas and adapt to new processes.
