Job summary

Watlow's Columbia, MO facility seeks a Machinist I on the 2nd shift to support machining operations with manual and CNC tools. You’ll assist in setup, run machines, and help maintain tooling and fixtures while following established procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and up to 3 years of related experience, with a willingness to learn and work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0-3 years of related experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer systems.
• Ability to learn new skills, follow directions, and adhere to procedures.
• Trade jobs: two-year degree, technical certificate, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Run CNC machines, mills, drills, lathes, and presses.
• Manual Machining: Set up and run basic manual machines to produce parts.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Maintain machines and diagnose issues.
• Print Reading & Process Design: Read prints, sketch, and design workflows.
• Documentation: Complete process documentation accurately and on time.
• Problem Solving: Work under supervision on routine tasks, seek guidance as needed.
• Teamwork: Work effectively individually and in a team.
