United Gear and Assembly, Inc. in Hudson, WI is seeking a CnC Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to perform operations on Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Hobs and Broaches. The role requires reading blueprints, mounting workpieces, installing tooling and supervising precision tolerances.

The position offers full-time hours with a $22.00–$25.00 hourly wage, plus a $2000 retention bonus and immediate start. Benefits include health/dental, 401k, paid vacation, life and disability coverage, and profit

Qualifications

• Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically a related 2-year degree is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Reads process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining and specifications.
• Mounts work piece between centers, in chuck, or to faceplate manually or with hoist.
• Installs preset tooling in tool posts, turrets or indexing heads per process sheet.
• Operates machine, monitors control panel readings and adjusts speeds and feeds as required.
• Inspects first-run piece and checks subsequent parts for conformance using gauges.
• Sets tools and may operate another machine tool during cycles.
• Organizes materials for next run to shorten changeover time.
• Additional duties as assigned.
