Job summary

Goetsch's Welding & Machine, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Operator to join our metal manufacturing team on the 2nd shift (3pm–1am) with a $2/hr differential.

Responsibilities include simple setups, operating and maintaining CNC mills/lathe, and interpreting drawings and blueprints to produce precision components. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of CNC experience, reads CAD drawings, and can read G-code/M-code.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional technical certification or a relevant degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a metal manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tools, and materials.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
• Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining quality standards.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate machinery safely.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery to produce precision metal components according to specifications
• Perform routine machine maintenance and conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition
• Analyze and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to determine machining requirements
• Evaluate material stock and select appropriate cutting tools and machining techniques for each job
• Adjust machine settings, including speeds and feed rates, to ensure accurate and efficient production
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality control and identify any deviations or malfunctions
• Conduct thorough inspections of finished products for quality assurance and conformance to specifications
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Maintain accurate records of production data, including output and machine maintenance activities
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
