Job summary

Crystal Group seeks a 2nd Shift CNC Operator in Hiawatha, IA to produce precision-machined components for rugged computer servers. You will set up CNC mills and finishing equipment, inspect parts, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site, full-time role offers strong teamwork and growth opportunities. Applicants should have at least 1 year of CNC experience, be comfortable reading blueprints, and know G-code; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC controls (Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens).
• Basic math skills and experience with measurement tools.
• Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, surface finishing machines, and vibratory tumblers per job specs.
• Load materials and tooling; adjust settings and ensure alignment and calibration.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Monitor machining operations and adjust to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Complete required documentation and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve machining issues.
