Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Machinist to support nuclear power plant projects in Newington, NH. The role focuses on producing high-tolerance components and working with engineers, CNC programmers, and fellow machinists to ensure quality and safety.

You will operate CNC machines, interpret drawings, set up tooling, perform in‑process inspections, and uphold 5S standards while contributing to process improvements and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• 3–5 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Operational proficiency in CNC machining.
• Knowledge of CNC G-code programming and machine operations.
• 3+ years with tooling, fixtures, and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Machine precision components meeting nuclear quality and safety requirements.
• Operate a variety of metal-removing and metal-forming machines.
• Set up tools, components, and castings per engineering drawings and specs.
• Read and interpret drawings, sketches, blueprints, and instructions.
• Use measuring instruments, fixtures, and tooling; fabricate tooling.
• Perform in-process inspections and verify quality and dimensional requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining operations and modify programs when qualified.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S and safety standards.
