Job summary

FORCE America is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate horizontal machining centers on the 2nd shift in Minnesota. The role emphasizes setup, tool changes, offsets optimization, and in-process verification to meet tight tolerances while maintaining safety standards.

You will read and interpret blueprints, load programs, and inspect parts with precision measuring tools, ensuring data is recorded and deviations are reported promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/vocational coursework in machining, manufacturing, or CNC preferred.
• NIMS or related CNC certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Configure, set up, and operate CNC horizontal machining centers for production runs.
• Stage and exchange fixtures, workholding devices, tools, and programs per job router.
• Optimize offsets/cutting tools and perform adjustments to sustain tolerances.
• Follow standard work, record run data, and communicate deviations promptly.
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges; interpret readings to maintain specs.
• Practice safe operations and perform routine machine maintenance/troubleshooting.
• Support additional tasks assigned by leadership.
