Job Function and Scope
This individual will be responsible for achieving quality castings in the operation of a brass low‑pressure casting unit. The position includes programmed machine cycle start, monitoring of HMI controls and alarms, shot‑blasting molds, and hand loading of ingot bars into an automated feeder.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that automated production equipment and material specifications are functioning within operating parameters of the process sheet.
- Conduct visual inspection of castings to meet foundry department standards.
- Observe machine alarms for malfunction and make adjustments to run at maximum efficiency (80 sec/cycle), or notify the casting lead for adjustments.
- Complete all production paperwork to improve production methods and equipment performance.
- Identify scrap and segregate it from production.
- Perform molten metal furnace cleaning weekly.
- Perform all job functions as outlined in the functional job analysis.

Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Must pass Chicago Faucets Functional Job Analysis.
Preferred
- Prior experience in a foundry or die casting manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of basic casting practices.
