Job summary

Bridgeway Park Battle Creek Senior Living Community is seeking compassionate professionals to join our team under new management, focusing on delivering warm, specialized dementia care and everyday resident support in a vibrant community.

As a caregiver, you will assist with daily living activities, administer medications as directed, maintain a safe environment, and document care and changes for the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Dementia caregiving experience required or preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Strong communication with residents, families and supervisors.
• Background check clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, walking).
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed per medical charts.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the living environment; light housekeeping.
• Follow infection control procedures and safety standards.
• Assess changes in residents' condition and report to supervisor promptly.
• Complete all required care documentation and charting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend.
