Job summary

Bridgeway Park Battle Creek Senior Living Community is seeking compassionate professionals to support residents, including those with dementia. You will provide daily living assistance, administer medications, and uphold safety standards in a dynamic elder-care setting.

From assisting with meals and mobility to documenting care and communicating with the care team, your role will be essential to maintaining a warm, safe environment and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Dementia care experience is preferred.
• Compassionate approach to senior care and empathy for residents.
• Strong communication with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the environment; follow infection control procedures.
• Assess changes in residents' condition and report to supervisor.
• Document medications and care provided in charts as required.
• Assist other team members and support overall resident wellbeing.
• Answer call lights and respond to residents' needs.
• Provide nutrition support by assisting with meals when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend.
