Job summary

Bridgeway Park Battle Creek Senior Living Community is under new management and expanding its compassionate caregiving team. We seek dedicated staff to support residents, especially those with dementia, providing daily living assistance, medication administration, and warmth in a caring environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, be able to pass a background check, have reliable transportation, and be available every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Requires compassionate dementia care experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass criminal background check and have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Administer medications and injections as per medical charts and supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas, including light housekeeping.
• Follow safety, health, and infection control procedures.
• Observe changes in residents' condition and report promptly to supervisor.
• Document medications and care provided, ensuring accurate charting.
• Respond to call lights and assist residents with meals as needed.
• Support teammates and help with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
