Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Cable and Wire Harness Assembler in Mesa, AZ, on 2nd shift, to read diagrams, assemble wires into harnesses, and finalize harnesses per schematics.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Training on 1st shift is required before starting on 2nd shift, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with cable and wire assemblies.
• Regularly sit, stand, and walk.
• Must pass a vision exam to inspect work at close distance.
• Read and understand wire diagrams, blue prints, and schematics.
• Accurately use measuring tools and perform basic math.
• Effectively use all tools required for wire harness assembly.
• Keen attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to bend, stoop and reach.
• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read wire diagrams, blue prints, and schematics for cable assembly.
• Assemble wires into cables and harness systems per schematic drawings.
• Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harness.
• Assemble electrical components, systems and/or subsystems.
• Use automatic and hand held wire strippers for wire ends.
• Measure wires and finished cable assemblies for quality.
• Solder parts or connections between parts.
• Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
