Job summary

Portland Public Schools is seeking a Building Custodian II for the 2nd shift. The role involves cleaning, dusting, mopping, disinfecting, and floor care across district facilities. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. This is a permanent, full-time position with benefits available as outlined in the district contracts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness in a school environment.
• Must pass a post-offer physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, mop, disinfect, wash, and polish surfaces.
• Receive/stock supplies and perform deliveries as trained.
• Strip and wax floors; shovel snow and report hazards.
• Replace light bulbs and work from ladders as needed.
