Job summary

American Products is seeking a dependable Brake Press Operator for the 2nd shift in Strafford, MO. Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM. Pay is $19.00-$20.00/hour plus a $2.00/hour shift differential. Training is provided to support growth in metal fabrication.

As a Brake Press Operator, you will read blueprints, load materials, inspect parts, adjust machines as needed, and ensure quality. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is beneficial.
• Ability to learn blueprint reading and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production instructions
• Load and unload materials while ensuring proper alignment and positioning
• Inspect finished parts to verify quality and specifications
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Record production information accurately
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
