Job summary

CA Lawton is seeking a 2nd Shift Blast Operator to join our foundry production team in Minster, OH. You’ll move, blast, and finish castings, supporting safe and efficient operations.

Typical shift is 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed. Regular pay starts at $22.52 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential for the 2nd shift, plus comprehensive benefits after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Move and blast castings as part of the foundry production process.
• Cut off or knock off gating and risers when needed.

• Empty hoppers and sandbags from dust collectors.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Shotblast castings for cleaning and shipping.
• Roll over castings using an overhead crane or forklift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday – Friday (plus overtime as needed)

• Regular Pay: $22.52 / hour and higher!

• $2.00 shift differential for 2nd shift

What is the job?

The Blast Operator focuses on moving and blasting castings and plays an important role in the foundry production process.

Responsibilities may include:

• Cut off or knock off gating and risers when needed

• Operate a 12-ton crane

• Empty hoppers and sandbags from dust collectors

• Load and unload trucks

• Shotblast castings for cleaning and shipping

• Roll over castings using an overhead crane or forklift

• Perform other duties as assigned
