Packaging Corporation of America in New Oxford, PA is seeking a 2nd shift Baler Operator to support our corrugated packaging operation.

Responsibilities include checking waste carts, maintaining a safe work environment, operating the baler and shredder, and documenting processes. Starting wage is $25.16 per hour with annual bonus and comprehensive benefits including vacation, holidays, 401(k) with match, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Check waste carts and loads for correct waste tag information with signatures.
• Help keep a clean work environment for safety reasons.
• Communicate with the Operator on Baler and Shredder performance and relay information to the incoming Operator.
• Document movements and perform a checklist of baler and shredder machines prior to start up.
• Report issues or restraints to the Supervisor.
• Weigh and spray paint all good dunnage for identification and complete documentation for accounting.
• Complete soak and pin test to learn quality processes of the corrugator.
