Job summary

New Weds Foods is seeking a Bagger to operate a bagging machine, verify labels and weights, and pass bags through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area. You may also perform additional tasks as assigned by the shift supervisor or department manager.

Responsibilities include matching batch numbers, stacking bags on correct skids, maintaining sanitation, and reporting any metal detector issues. The position requires lifting 50 lbs continuously and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge about manufacturing food preferred.
• Able to communicate well, both verbal and written, with good mathematical skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs continuously.

Responsibilities

• Ensure batch numbers and product code on the labels match with the product been dumped.
• Stack bags neatly on skids as required and on the correct skid color.
• Return any unused label back to the Supervisor so that it can be recorded.
• Cleaning machine and work area as required.
• Detect any malfunction of the metal detector and rollers and report it to the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
• Report all shortage to the lead operator.
• Notifies supervisor and QC tech if metal detector goes off.
• Calibrate floor scale for accurate weights.
• Lifts 20 - 40 lb bags consistently
• Operates automatic palletizer.
• Ensures product samples are given to QC tech every 5th pallet
• Ensures Load Moved tickets are signed or initialed
• Makes sure pack-list is completed for traceability.
• Requires climbing step ladders.
• Performs sanitation of all packaging equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
