Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our 2nd shift in Texas. The role features an $18.50 per hour starting pay with a 4:00 PM–1:30 AM Monday–Thursday schedule and a 4:00 PM–8:00 PM Friday shift.

You will work in a high-volume distribution center supporting the handling of books to 50,000 locations nationwide. Ideal candidates bring warehouse experience and basic math skills, plus comfort with scanners, handheld devices, and Warehouse Management Systems.

Qualifications

• One year general warehouse/material handler experience preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Operate RF scanners and handheld devices for picking and packing.
• Sticker cartons as directed and build trains by scanning labels.
• Picks by carton number and follows system directions to grab quantities.
• Adhere to safety policies and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced distribution center.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 4:00 PM-1:30 AM
Friday: 4:00 PM-8:00 PM

Summary

• Become proficient with Warehouse Management Systems, RF and Voice directed picking.
• Performs assigned general housekeeping duties.
• Report all accidents, injuries, near misses and hazardous conditions immediately to ReaderLink management.
• Assists in other facets of production as needed and works at different workstations as production needs require.
• Conducts assigned work in a safe manner and adheres to safety methods.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Dependable and flexible when work is required in other areas of production.
• Demonstrates ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time frames.
• Demonstrate quality and accuracy when performing assigned material handling functions.
• Checks and adjusts headset and handheld device.
• Logs into the handheld device.
• Changes zones when necessary.
• Stickers cartons as directed by Jennifer operating system.
• Builds a train by scanning bar code on label.
• Picks by scanning any carton number in the train and follows "Jennifer's" directions to grab number and quantity.
• Passes a train after completes "grab", "put", "sticker", OR the person next to you needs work.
• Other duties as assigned
