Job summary

AM General is hiring for a 2nd Shift Automotive Painter (Maintenance) to support HMWWV and JLTV A2 production in Mishawaka, IN. The role requires reading and following standardized work, with a path from 1st shift training (5am-1:30pm) to the 2nd shift (1:30pm-10:00pm).

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow standardized work and job instructions.
• Paint Sprayer application experience preferred.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Must be able to train on 1st shift (5am-1:30pm) then move to 2nd shift (1:30pm-10:00pm).
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare surface for paint application.
• Apply paint to surface using sprayers.
• May repair paint defects using spray, brushes or foam applicators.
• Confirm quality of work performed.
• Technical capacity to run equipment within the facility.
• Maintain clean working environment.
• Operate safely and comply with safety rules.
