Job summary

The Cigna Group in Whitestown, Indiana, is seeking an Electrical-Mechanical Technician (Automation Engineer Senior Analyst) to maintain and improve highly automated pharmacy production equipment on 2nd shift. You will help maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or automation maintenance experience or an Associate degree with 2+ years in the field.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems using test equipment such as multimeters.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing motors, motor controllers, and VFDs.
• Experience repairing mechanical and pneumatic systems including setup, adjustment, and tuning.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, and interpret technical documentation.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Experience using CMMS to manage maintenance activities and work orders.
• Ability to work independently and with teammates; willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability and performance of automated pharmacy equipment through preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls issues to minimize disruptions.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, motor controllers, drives, conveyors, vision systems, and related equipment.
• Interpret schematics and drawings to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Perform equipment modifications, upgrades, and optimization for safety and efficiency.
• Monitor equipment health via inspections and diagnostics to address issues early.
• Document maintenance activities and work orders in CMMS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support goals and continuous improvement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and complete required training for compliance and safety.
