Job summary

Liberty Diversified International in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator I to join the packaging production team. You will support machine operators, set up orders, perform quality checks, stack orders, and communicate issues to keep production running safely and efficiently.

This full-time role offers training and opportunities to advance, with overtime as required. You will report to a Production Supervisor at the Fort Worth facility and work in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution or 1+ years manufacturing or comparable experience in place of education.
• Ability to apply math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Experience reading, following, and completing detailed work instructions.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up orders according to customer specifications and prepare the right tools for the job.
• Assist with quality checks by inspecting articles and the order to identify issues and ensure product quality.
• Monitor production metrics to track progress, quality, maintenance needs, and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leaders and assist with troubleshooting to maximize efficiency.
• Assist with minor repairs to equipment in partnership with the maintenance team.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following post-order cleaning.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures for the machine center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
