Job summary

TE Connectivity in Grayslake, Illinois is hiring an Assembly Operator I for the 2nd shift (2:30pm - 10pm, Mon-Fri). You will assemble products for internal and external customers, read BOMs and blueprints, operate air/power tools, and follow safety and quality procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic Excel skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings. You will work in a shop environment with potential exposure to noise and dust, and participate in a

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Good organizational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use hands, bend and manipulate fingers and repetitively twist wrists.
• Communicate effectively. Ability to Read, Write and Speak English.
• Experience with equipment such as air/power tools, rulers, tape measures and gages.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Monitor production equipment effectively.
• Read and understand BOMs, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on drawing or BOM discrepancies.
• Maintain productivity to meet/beat production standards.
• Operate air and power tools as needed.
• Follow safety rules and safe procedures.
• Work with QC to verify specs.
• Keep tools/supplies organized; keep area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
