Job summary

Toshiba America Energy Systems is seeking a 2nd shift Assembly Technician in Milwaukee to work on large generation equipment, performing disassembly, refurbishing, winding, and reassembly of mechanical and electrical components.

The role requires 3–5 years in a service shop, proficiency with measuring tools, hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints. Training on induction heating and brazing may be provided; a strong safety commitment is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a service shop environment.
• Mechanical aptitude to perform basic disassembly and assembly.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and properly maintain pneumatic tooling.
• Ability to read, understand blueprints and work from sketches.
• Ability to read, interpret and use measuring tools such as digital calipers and digital micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble mechanical or electrical apparatus with minimal supervision.
• Operate cranes and forklifts to move heavy components up to 10,000 pounds.
• Perform inspections of generation components and ensure quality per procedures.
• Learn and apply induction heating, torch heating, soldering, and brazing techniques.
• Follow safety policies and maintain professional conduct at all times.
