Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Fort Worth, TX seeks an Assembler to build locomotive/mining components, installing wiring harnesses, piping and performing light welding. You will operate drills, band saws, lathes, and other tools while ensuring quality and safety.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, following manufacturing instructions, and collaborating with team to improve processes. The role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to pass drug tests and background

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints, schematics and manufacturing instructions to complete assembly tasks.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using electrical and/or pneumatic hand tools.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High-school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must be willing to wear PPE (glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, safety shoes).
• Be willing to undergo drug test, physical & background check; random drug tests may be required.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and sub-assemblies for locomotives/mining equipment.
• Install wiring harnesses and piping and associated components.
• Perform simple welding and test for leaks or malfunctions; repair as needed.
• Operate standard machine tools (drill press, band saw, lathe) and hand tools.
• Collaborate with peers to improve manufacturing processes and tooling.
