Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an assembly-focused associate to join our team in the Duncan, SC area. You will assemble, test, and inspect components, using required tools and equipment in an industrial setting, with emphasis on quality and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of assembly experience in manufacturing. You’ll work 6:30 AM–3:00 PM as part of a collaborative, safety-conscious team.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• 1+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment to perform assembly operations.
• Must have good listening and communication skills.
• Able to work well with others to be a good team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily 5s and cleaning procedures.
• Assist others in obtaining solutions to quality and production issues.
• Other duties as may be required or assigned.
• Assemble, test, and inspect according to engineering drawings and test codes.
• Work with electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble equipment that does not pass the test.
• Maintain assembly and test equipment as required.
• Move material to and from the workstation by hand, cart, and crane as required.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
