Job summary

FALLS STAMPING & WELDING COMPANY is seeking a Riveter to operate stationary riveting, dimpling, and drilling machines to assemble structural members and parts.

You will read work orders, determine rivet patterns, align parts with jigs and fixtures, and complete documentation. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, basic math, and familiarity with Microsoft Office for record keeping. Position is based in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, on-site and non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED is required and ability to read SOPs and work instructions.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers/regulatory bodies and present information clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for record keeping and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders and operation sheets to determine rivet patterns and hole sizes.
• Remove adjoining edges of parts and assemblies.
• Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
• Operate stationary riveting, dimpling, and drilling machines with hand tools as needed.
• Maintain accuracy and safety in riveting tasks and document results.

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for riveting structural members, assemblies, and parts using stationary riveting, dimpling, and drilling machines and hand tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work orders and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations and type size and hole patterns of rivets.
• Removes together adjoining edges of parts and assemblies.
• Aligns and assembles parts to be riveted, using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.
• Education and Experience - High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence). Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standard operating procedures and work instructions. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
• Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an average knowledge of Microsoft Office.
