Job summary

Somic America in Wytheville, VA is hiring for a 2nd shift assembler (3pm - 11pm). You will set up and operate assembly lines, assemble parts to specifications, and support safety and quality goals.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED and offers $19.25 - $24.25 per hour with potential overtime. You will follow work instructions, perform checks, and maintain a safe work area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safety: maintain a safe work area and report unsafe conditions.
• Quality: perform hourly checks and ensure parts meet specifications; notify team leader of suspect material.
• Changeovers: perform changeovers per procedure and complete changeover checklists.
• Operation: follow standard work, move parts between stations, monitor machines for malfunctions, and perform basic measurements and inspections.
