Qualifications

Job description

Entry Level - $20/hr Assembler

This role focuses on assembling mechanical and electrical components into finished units in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. You will follow detailed work orders, use a variety of hand and power tools, and ensure each unit meets quality and safety standards before it moves to the next stage of production. The position offers the opportunity to develop strong mechanical skills and grow within a modern manufacturing facility.

Shift

2nd shift: 3:30pm - 2:00am

Responsibilities
  • Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components in cabinets as specified in diagrams and standard operating procedures.
  • Operate a variety of tools including hand tools, drill, rivet gun, saw, hy-pot tester, hacksaw, drill press, and other production equipment as needed.
  • Review work orders to understand product specifications, requirements, and sequence of operations.
  • Visually inspect components and completed units during assembly to ensure quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications.
  • Select and assemble parts in the correct sequence using tools such as drills, rivets, screws, braces, tape, and other hand and power tools.
  • Install appropriate sub-assemblies and component parts into units based on design specifications and work instructions.
  • Complete all assembly processes in the specified sequence to meet production and quality requirements.
  • Ensure completed units meet quality standards and inspection criteria before moving them to the next workstation.
  • Perform cabinet foaming according to engineering specifications and documented procedures.
  • Read and follow work instructions, part labels, and part numbers to ensure correct components are used.
  • Use tape measures, blueprints, and work instructions to verify dimensions and proper assembly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized immediate work area on a daily basis.
  • Support general production activities as needed, including basic inspection and general labor tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support production goals.
Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow wiring diagrams and blueprints as outlined in standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in mechanical assembly, including use of tape measures and assembly line processes.
  • Prior manufacturing experience, particularly in production or assembly environments.
  • Backgrounds in construction, installations, maintenance, auto repair, farm work, or furniture building are highly relevant.
  • Experience with hand and power tools such as drills, rivet guns, saws, and drill presses.
  • Familiarity with inspection practices to verify quality and accuracy of assembled products.
  • Ability to work from work instructions and standard operating procedures with strong attention to detail.
  • General labor experience in production or construction environments.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility focused on production and assembly. Typical shifts run from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with some positions scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work on or near assembly lines and production stations, using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, drill presses, rivet guns, saws, and testing equipment. The environment involves standing for most of the shift, bending, reaching, and handling bulky parts, while following detailed work instructions and safety procedures. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and consistent adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marietta, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
