Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy efficiency, is seeking a 2nd shift Worker on a full-time basis in Largo, FL. The role requires performing duties across two or more production lines, including spot welding, painting, brazing, and material handling, with training responsibilities for new hires.

Overtime and Saturday hours may be required. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with a craft apprenticeship (or equivalent) and experience in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship (or equivalent years of education and 2 years of work experience).
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Hold a Forklift Certification, or obtain a certification within a two time allowance of testing all within the first month of starting position.

Responsibilities

• Spot welding on production lines.
• Operate a forklift and other hand tools.
• Assist in training and orienting new employees.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and comply with safety regulations.
• Be flexible with overtime and shift changes, including Saturdays as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
