Job summary

Basin Industries in Roanoke is seeking assemblers to design and assemble racks, ensuring quality from station to station. You will verify rack fit, function, and part fit, assisting with line changes as needed and supporting other departments to keep production moving smoothly.

Ideal candidates are comfortable reading blueprints, measuring with a tape, and following safety and manufacturing instructions while using standard hand tools.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and perform simple shop math.
• Proficiency with reading a calibrated tape measure.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals.
• Proficient use of standard hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain rack quality from station to station.
• Rack fit form and function, ensuring parts fit before removal from line.
• Assist with line changeovers as needed.
• Assist other departments as required.

Assembler’s essential duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure that part/rack quality is maintained from station to station.
• Rack fit form, function, part fit if available is done before part/rack is removed from line.
• Assist with line change overs as needed.
• Assist other departments as required .

Required experience and skills:

• Perform simple shop math and convert decimals to fractional equivalents
• Read a calibrated tape measure
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to read and interpret documents finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals
• Proficient use of standard hand tools

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday with Saturdays as needed
• 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
• Will be required to work overtime as needed
