Scope of Role

The Assembler is responsible for duties related to the assembly, sub-assembly, and packaging of speed reducers or gearboxes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assemble products according to established methods, procedures, and standards, including sub-assembly from bills of materials and production orders.
2. Perform assembly from engineering prints and blueprints.
3. Use tools such as air impact wrenches, hand tools, grease guns, and operate presses and assembly equipment.
4. Inspect completed units for quality and standards compliance.
5. Complete documentation of daily work activities.
6. Operate overhead hoists, cranes, or forklifts as needed.
7. Assemble gearboxes using liquid nitrogen.
8. Operate testing and air testing equipment.
9. Inspect units for painting standards and package units correctly, including label matching.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 2 years of assembly experience and manufacturing environment experience.
• Experience with power tools is a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical demands include walking, standing, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs., and other physical activities. The work environment is primarily manufacturing with safety equipment required, and exposure to noise, dust, heat, and other conditions.
