Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking an Annealer Operator in Santa Clarita for the 2nd shift, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. You will operate annealing furnaces to soften metal to meet hardness and compression specs, handling loading/unloading with cranes and conveyors while ensuring safety and quality.

You will read work orders, set temperatures and conveyor speeds, prepare cleaning solutions, and verify parts meet process specs with basic inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform basic shop math and conversions.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and inspection tools.
• Ability to read simple work instructions and drawings.
• Basic computer literacy for recording production data.
• Capable of working in a heat-intensive environment and following instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely following PPE and SOPs.
• Load/unload metal parts using crane systems and forklifts for furnaces.
• Read work orders and set temperatures, cycle times, and speeds.
• Set up annealing furnaces and monitor controls and conveyors.
• Inspect parts for cleanliness and proper annealing results.
• Maintain accurate counts and document production records.
• Coordinate with adjacent departments to align priorities.
