Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services is seeking a Lab Technician in Fort Wayne, IN to support foam manufacturing operations. You will perform material testing, quality control analyses, and product evaluations to ensure performance, safety and consistency according to procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of lab testing experience preferred; manufacturing experience a plus.
• ASQ CQI or CQT certification preferred; ISO 9001 knowledge a plus; ISO/AS/IATF systems experience helpful.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily foam tests for the lab.
• Cut test samples, enter data, and issue certificates of compliance.
• Participate in corrective action teams.
• Work overtime including weekends as needed.
• Communicate effectively with plant staff and management.
• Create and update JHAs and SOPs; follow safety guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.

Lab Technician

COMPENSATION$18.00 / hour

SCHEDULEFlexible: 10–6, 11–7, or 12–8

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Lab Technician supports laboratory operations within a foam manufacturing environment by performing material testing, quality control analyses, and product evaluations in accordance with established procedures. This role ensures foam products meet required specifications for performance, safety, and consistency — playing a critical part in continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily foam tests for the lab.
• Cut detailed test samples, perform data entry, and issue certificates of compliance to customers.
• Participate in corrective action teams.
• Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends as needed.
• Effectively communicate with plant associates and managers.
• Create and update Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision.

Education
