Job summary

Martin Energy Group Services LLC in Tipton, MO is seeking a skilled fabricator/assembly worker to support production with a focus on safety and quality. The role involves handling structural steel, performing MIG welding, reading drawings, and maintaining tools and equipment.

You will work with crews, operate cranes and lifts after training, and stay compliant with company standards. Prior fabrication experience is preferred but not required; certification will be provided.

Qualifications

• Fabrication experience is preferred but not required.
• Must obtain welding certification provided by the company.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Able to learn basic computer skills for email, documentation, and tracking procurements.

Responsibilities

• Handle structural material (steel beams, channel, square tubing, etc.).
• MIG welding proficiency.
• Read and understand construction drawings and specs.
• Mark up drawings/specs with as-built status.
• Sand blast and paint structural steel material.
• Install G-Rib Metal and Trim.
• Install Snaplock Metal and Trim.
• Operate crane, scissor lift, and forklift (training provided).
• Use common tools (tape measure, square, level, etc.).
• Work with other crews and lead people.
• Maintain responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned.
• Perform all duties as assigned.

This position is eligible for a 15% shift differential.

Purpose of the Role

This role is crucial for ensuring quality standards in manufacturing and production projects by contributing to continuous improvement and staring in compliance with safety protocols and standardized processes to ensure workplace safety and product reliability.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Everyday handling of structural material (steel beams, channel, square tubing, etc.)
• Proficient in MIG Welding
• Reads and comprehends construction drawings and specifications.
• Marks up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
• Sand Blast & Paint Structural Steel material
• Install G-Rib Metal & Trim
• Install Snaplock Metal & Trim
• Operate crane, scissor lift, and forklift (will provide training)
• Capable to use everyday construction tools (tape measure, square, level, etc.)
• Works in conjunction with other crews and lead people.
• Maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the group.
• Performs all duties and tasks as assigned.
