Job summary

Martin Energy in Tipton, MO is seeking a welder/fabrication specialist to support everyday structural material handling and fabrication tasks. You will perform MIG welding, read and interpret drawings, and help keep safety and quality standards across the project.

Responsibilities include equipment operation, paint preparation, and collaboration with other crews, with a focus on detail, safety, and completing assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Prior fabrication experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to obtain welding certification provided by Company.
• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills to communicate via email, document daily work and progress, and track procurements and status.
• Proficient carpentry skills.

Responsibilities

• Everyday handling of structural material (steel beams, channel, square tubing, etc.).
• Proficient in MIG Welding.
• Reads and comprehends construction drawings and specifications.
• Marks up construction drawings and specifications with as-built status.
• Sand blast & paint structural steel material.
• Install G-Rib metal & trim.
• Install Snaplock metal & trim.
• Operate crane, scissor lift, and forklift (will provide training).
• Capable to use everyday construction tools (tape measure, square, level, etc.).
• Works in conjunction with other crews and lead people.
• Maintains responsibility for all tools and equipment assigned to the group.
• Performs all duties and tasks as assigned.

This role is crucial for ensuring quality standards in manufacturing and production projects by contributing to continuous improvement and staring in compliance with safety protocols and standardized processes to ensure workplace safety and product reliability.
