Bandera ISD seeks a dynamic 2nd grade teacher for Hill Country Elementary School, a Title I PK-5 campus in the Texas Hill Country near Medina Lake. The role starts Oct 26, 2026, with a 4-day instructional week (Mon–Thu) and Fridays designated for professional development activities.

The ideal candidate will hold a Texas Teaching License with endorsements, ESL certification, and a Bachelor's degree. Reading Academies are preferred and may be required soon.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Texas Teaching License and endorsements for the grade taught.
• ESL certification required (or will be pursued ASAP).
• Reading Academies preferred, but will be required soon.

Responsabilités

• Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high-quality instruction.
• Deliver instruction, assess learning, and adjust to support growth.
• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
• Work cohesively with campus staff in a self-contained setting.
• Coordinate with Special Education teachers to modify curricula and support students.
• Participate in PLCs and staff development activities.

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Bandera ISD is a 4-Day instructional week school district (Mon-Thurs.) Designated Fridays throughout the school year will be required for teacher training and professional development opportunities

Hill Country Elementary School is located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country near Medina Lake.

HCE is a Title I, PK-5 campus with an enrollment of 440+ students.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
• Texas Teaching License and appropriate endorsements for the grade levels and subjects taught
• ESL certification (Required, but if not currently certified, this will be required as soon as possible)
• Reading Academies (Preferred, but if not currently trained, this will be required as soon as possible)

• Develop, modify and prepare curricula to ensure high quality instruction based upon student abilities and skill levels
• Deliver high quality instruction to students, assess student learning, and make the necessary adjustments to support student growth
• Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff
• Work cohesively with the campus staff in a self-contained atmosphere
• Work cooperatively with Special Education teachers to modify curricula, and instruct and assess Special Education students in the regular classroom
• Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
