Job summary

Alpha is hiring a 2nd grade guide to coach K-3 students using adaptive learning technology. You will lead life-skills workshops, coach individuals and small groups, and help students achieve ambitious weekly goals through motivation and strong relationships.

This is a full-time, on-site role at an Alpha campus in California. A BA in any subject and ≥3 years working with children are required. Compensation is $120,000 USD per year, paid weekly. Relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working with children aged 4–9 through teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or similar environments.
• Experience leading group activities for young children with concrete structures to keep the group engaged.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging life-skills workshops for K-3 students.
• Coach students one-on-one and in small groups using analytics and motivation systems to hit weekly goals.
• Assess life-skill mastery and help students demonstrate real understanding, not just participation.
• Adapt coaching style to developmental needs and use storytelling to engage learners.
• Build relationships that support students to stretch beyond their Ealier expectations.
