LHH Recruitment Solutions has a Senior CNC Setup Technician role open for our client in the Butler, NJ region. Qualified candidates MUST HAVE proven CNC setup experience with CNC machines such as lathes, mills, Swiss mills, and machinery like Miyano, Haas, Mori, Sharp, etc., along with industrial applications experience required, for a minimum of 3 years. Additionally, experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems is highly preferred.

This direct hire role allows you to grow your CNC career by supporting the production floor to meet supply and demand and ensure timely production and delivery to customers. This position is fully on-site and operates on a second or third shift schedule.

Hourly pay is approximately $28.00, with additional shift differentials for second and third shifts.

Role & Responsibilities

• Create and edit CNC programs.
• Understand engineered drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Prepare tooling and gauges for machining.
• Perform machine and equipment installation, relocation, removal, and salvage measures.
• Identify and procure necessary parts and components.
• Upload and download CNC programs for jobs.
• Manage outside services, contractors, and vendor personnel.
• Lead by example in safety and quality, adhering to 6S standards.
• Assist CNC operators as needed.
• Conduct visual inspections and collaborate with engineering for quality control.
• Make machine adjustments and offsets as required.
• Demonstrate proven leadership and team management skills.
• Apply problem-solving and critical thinking skills effectively.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of industrial machinery maintenance experience.
• Ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
• Minimum of 3 years CNC machining repair and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001 or AS9100 is highly preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement tools is highly preferred.
• 3 years of programming and setup experience on CNC lathes and mills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work overtime when needed.
