Job summary

Step2 is seeking a Maintenance Helper for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Perrysville, OH. The role involves supporting maintenance tasks on a fast-paced production line and contributing to equipment reliability. Afternoon shift runs 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as required.

Compensation includes up to $33.04/hr plus a $1.00 shift premium for both 2nd and 3rd shifts, with benefits and a plan for growth through hands-on electrical and mechanical work.

Qualifications

• Industrial electricity knowledge is a plus and can be developed on the job.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues on machinery and equipment.
• Repair equipment mechanically.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears and other parts.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, motors and control wiring.
• Layout, assemble, install and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic piping.
• Install, troubleshoot and repair automated machinery including programmable controllers.
• Operate machine tools (lathes, grinders, drills) to repair or fabricate parts.
• Cutting and welding skills are a plus.
• Communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.

The Maintenance Technician is a key role reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor. The environment is fast-paced, with scheduled duties as well as routine maintenance.

An emphasis on Industrial Electricity is a plus - and something that we're glad to help you build on.

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.

• Able to mechanically repair equipment.


• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other areas of machinery.


• Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, motors, and control wiring for electronic devices.


• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.


• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.


• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts, jigs, and fixtures.


• Cutting and welding skills are a plus.


• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
