Job summary

PM Mold Company, a full-service mold manufacturer and plastic injection molder in Schaumburg, Illinois, is seeking a Setup Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Under the shift Supervisor, you will set up molds, run auxiliary equipment, and respond to alarms in a fast-paced, quality- and safety-focused environment.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of mold setup experience, be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane, work independently, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience with setting up molds.
• Ability to safely work around molding machines.
• Must be able to operate forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Some processing knowledge required.

• Help with starting machines

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set and pull molds (knowledge of setting up hydraulic cores)
• Set up auxiliary equipment
• Help with starting machines

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to hear machine alarms
• Good mobility, energy level & ability to routinely lift 50 pounds
• Requires good visual acuity and the ability to detect visual changes in plastic
• Able to climb ladders up to 6 feet
• Physical strength to perform ratcheting motion to torque settings
• Good mobility for high physical activity including but not limited to reaching, standing, stooping, squatting, & crawling to access machine areas
