Job summary

Labor Network, Inc. in Elgin, IL is seeking a Set-Up Tech for the 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will perform machine and mold/tool changeovers, start up machines, troubleshoot issues, and verify auxiliary equipment to keep production running.

You will read setup sheets, follow safety practices, and coordinate with operators, QC, and maintenance to ensure parts meet quality standards. Transportation to job sites is provided, and first-come, first-served opportunities apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform changeovers, startups, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of auxiliary equipment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving.
• Ability to read setup sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
• Comfort with hand tools and basic measuring tools.
• Strong safety habits, especially around lockout/tagout.
• Reliability and ownership of the machine’s performance.
• Clear communication with operators, QC, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine and mold/tool changeovers.
• Start up machines and bring them to stable, in-spec production.
• Troubleshoot machine and process problems.
• Verify auxiliary equipment (dryers, chillers, loaders, and similar) is working properly.
• Keep production running efficiently and minimize downtime.
• Ensure equipment is set up and operating safely.
• Confirm parts meet quality requirements and company procedures.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.
