Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in La Mirada, CA is seeking motivated Production Associates to join our team. This entry-level role focuses on safely operating corrugated production equipment in a hot, humid, and noisy environment, with shift options including 2nd and 3rd and possible overtime.

Compensation starts at $22.68 per hour with shift differentials and competitive benefits. Applicants must be available for all shifts and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work all shifts, including 2nd and 3rd.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Willingness to learn safety procedures.
• Able to lift, stand, and perform tasks up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup of equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment to optimize production
• Read tape measure in increments of 1/16"
• Perform basic quality checks, multitask, pay attention to detail, and communicate with peers and management
• Perform basic asset care duties including preventive maintenance and keep a clean, organized work environment
• Work as a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules, including wearing protective gear
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours
• Work in a fast-paced environment

Education

Post high school education in manufacturing/industrial
