Job summary

Plastipak in Illinois is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment and produce high-quality plastic containers. You will monitor process settings, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot equipment in a climate-controlled environment.

The role supports continuous improvement focusing on safety and waste reduction. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of manufacturing experience and basic troubleshooting skills, with a preference for knowledge of

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment with high-volume production.
• Knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to maintain quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Perform quality checks on bottles for weight and dimensions.
• Collaborate with the team to pursue safety, reliability, quality, and scrap reduction initiatives.
