Job summary

Kerry's Melrose Park, IL plant is hiring a Manufacturing Associate- Utility for 2nd and 3rd shifts to support start-up, operation, and changeover of manufacturing lines, ensuring product quality and line efficiency.

You will work in a union facility with Teamsters Local 781, follow Kerry safety policies, and contribute to a collaborative culture while lifting up to 50 lbs and using basic hand tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years related experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to communicate in English and understand job terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, MO, and to write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Regularly handle objects weighing up to 50+ lbs and manage machine start up, shut down and changeovers.
• Verify screens on sifters are in good condition for current product.
• Check mixer settings per MO specifications and correct deviations.
• Confirm MO ingredients and dispense at bag dump or designated area.
• Record all raw materials on the MO neatly and accurately.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and work in a team.
• Use basic hand tools.
• Perform sweeping, cleanup, and basic housekeeping duties.
• Participate in safety programs and trainings.
• Follow Kerry safety, environmental and regulatory policies.
