Job summary

Engineered Plastic Components in Lebanon, KY seeks a 2nd/3rd shift Automation Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain automation equipment used in the injection molding process.

Responsibilities include robot programming, PLC/HMI work, and supporting mold changeovers, with a focus on uptime and product quality. Requires 2–5 years in automation and relevant technical education.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Automation, Electrical Technology, Robotics, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years experience in industrial automation, preferably injection molding.
• Experience with robotic systems such as Sepro, Wittmann, Yushin, Fanuc, or ABB.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron).
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain automation equipment in the injection molding process.
• Program, teach, and optimize robots for part removal, loading, packaging, and secondary operations.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, and manuals.
• Diagnose machine failures and restore equipment to production quickly.
• Support mold changeovers and apply validation for new equipment.
